The conscience of millions of Indians  are now highly disturbed , as they  frequently hear about the abuse of women  all over India.

Concerned about this disturbing scenario, Government of India has now issued a fresh advisory to  states and union territories  on mandatory action in cases of crimes against women and said  that probe into rape cases must be completed within  two months.

While the law can act as a deterrent to some extent, the battle for safety of women have to be fought in the minds and hearts of the country men.

A national campaign is now necessary to bring about the progressive changes in the mindset of men towards women.

It appears that the only way now is that the Government of India should issue an order that all schools  must compulsorily have a moral education class at least for one hour every week and it should form part of  the curriculum and examination should be conducted on this topic.

Credible citizens who are concerned about the need for a non-violent and ethical society should be invited to take such classes in schools .This will help in laying the foundation among the young minds about the need to respect women and protect their dignity.

Inculcating value systems amongst the children in the formative age group appear to be the only possible solution to promote a society , where moral and ethical forces would gain an upper hand.

Nandini Voice for the Deprived  a not for profit organisation proposes to collect signature  from one lakh Indians from all over India in support of this campaign to introduce compulsory moral education class in schools.

All those supporting the cause are requested to send a one line communication by email  stating  “ I support the  campaign  to introduce moral education class in schools all over India”. The name of the signatory and mobile number  or email id should be necessarily sent.

On collection of one lakh signatures, an appeal would be submitted to the Prime Minister on behalf of the signatories to immediately introduce compulsory moral education class for school children all over India.
